Solution:

We are given the equation -25 + 19 + n = s, which can be simplified to -6 + n = s.  We must determine the value of n.

Statement One Alone:

s = 2

Since we know s = 2, we can substitute 2 for s in the equation -6 + n = s.

-6 + n = 2

n = 8

Statement one alone is sufficient to answer the question. We can eliminate answer choices B, C, and E.

Statement Two Alone:

n/s = 4

We can rewrite the equation n/s = 4 by multiplying both sides of the equation by s.

n = 4s

Since n = 4s, we can substitute 4s for n in the equation -6 + n = s.

-6 + 4s = s

-6 = -3s

s = 2

Now we can determine the value of n.

-6 + n = s

-6 + n = 2

n = 8

Statement two alone is sufficient to answer the question.
